Fabrics and Finishes

Due to the way we are able to blend compatible chemical treatments we can offer finishes with the desired properties our customers require, this allows our clients fabrics to be found in an extensive list of end use applications.

Specialised Finishing

  • Flame Retardant backcoating for domestic upholstery.
  • ZDHC compatible durable showerproofing for rainwear.

  • Improved pilling/abrasion

Curtains, Upholstery and Shirting

Curtains: Any composition or blends, typical finishes include wash and stenter, desize and stenter, wet and stenter or wash and resin.

Upholstery: Any composition or blends, typical finishes include wash and stenter, FR backcoat, water resist, anti pill and tumble. Also available is a washable finish (sanforiser) suitable for loose covers.

Shirting: Polyester/cotton, 100% cotton, or cotton/wool blends. A desize/scour and sanforiser, is the usual recommended finish for this material.

Mattress Fabric and Rainwear

Mattress Fabric: 100% cotton. A non durable flame retardant, together with a non durable anti microbial and calendering is the typical route for this type of cloth.

Rainwear: A ZDHC compliant dry-clean/wash durable showerproof treatment.
